Thank you lm for the lovely pass to Century 21's VIP night. How could I ever pay retail in a world where Century 21 exists? (btw, i have no idea who the random dude is in this shot, he just wandered in as i was lining it up)
A word to the wise: if you want to travel on the nation's most heavily traveled holiday you are best to plan in advance. Whereas I did not, I invited myself to my Aunt and Uncle's in Piermont, just north of the city. Thankfully they are always happy to have me in their beautiful home high upon the hill.
I know I run off all the time about Bryant Park, but seriously, it's like an oasis in the dessert of midtown. And just when you think it can't get any better, I stopped by and there was ice skating. A free ice rink, put up just for the winter, in the middle of the park. A Winter Oasis, if you will.
I was in Phila with the fam to see my little sister Marianne's play (she's the first assistant stage manager at the Walnut Street Theatre). Kicking around doing touristy stuff with the fam on Saturday before the show there was a vet's thing going on in front of the historic district's visitor's center. They were honoring the soldiers who gave their lives during this gulf war. It was a great display. 1100 impromptu gravesites.
Passing through Rockefeller Center on my way to clients is one of the little joys of NYC life. This particular day the tree was freshly delivered (via helicopter, I'm told but haven't confirmed). The scaffolding is going up to put on the lights.

The home in which I was born and raised. It brings such warmth to my heart to pull in the driveway and see good ol 109 Sandhurst. It truly defines HOME versus house to me. It is always inviting, always welcoming, it will always be home.
