| I first went to China while in high school in 1992. It was a culture study program through People To People International and this particular tour was a group of HS studies primarily from Pittsburgh. Next trip was three years later in the summer of 1995 as a study abroad at Fudan University in Shanghai. That was an incredible experience; to just jump into another culture, another language, another land and to sink your teeth into every experience the world has to offer. Amazing. I went back to Shanghai and Hong Kong in 2005 with Lai Ming to help her out with some work. A whirlwind tour of only 7 days but much was accomplished. The biggest change in 10 years was the unprecedented pace of construction, especially in the last 2-3 years. |
