Thus, *Windfury Crits* the Enhancement Shaman blog covering PvE, PvP, and pretty much everything else I can think of relating to the wonderful world of enhance.

Enhance Spec for Heroics & 10s

I respec'd last night. I'm still not 100% satisfied with it (I think the point I put in Improved Fire Nova Totem was misspent) but it will do for now.

I stuck with Enhancing Totems, as mentioned in my previous post this is better than the Death Knight thing that does the stuff. I also stuck with Improved WF Totem and Unleashed Rage. While these points may be wasted in 25s, they will be supremely valuable in 5s and 10s. I'm banging out 3 heroics a night on non-raid nights plus in 10-man raids we're not always going to have a hunter or a Death Knight in the group. My recommendation is to stick with these talents now.

Also with that spec, Elemental Fury and Elemental Focus are nice little boosts to spell damage and mana savers, respectively.

I may eventually drop UR and Imp WF for what I would consider a pure 25-man raid spec of:

Yes, yes I know there are still 2 points in Improved Ghostwolf, but cmon give a guy a break! I like the powershifting. but for now while I'm running 5s & 10s and still finishing up all the quests I will stick with the 17/54/0 spec.

Hey Rich. Are you still recommending this spec for 5-mans and 10-mans? Or have you changed it up a bit. I've been playing with some specs now that I got my shammy to 80.

I'm feeling a bit underpowered at the moment. But some upgrades will hopefully change that. Got my Greed last night. Hopefully will have the badges soon for Pride.

Mana has been an issue. I feel like I'm running myself low quickly/often. I'm using SAA to help monitor MW procs and fire of LB/CL when it hits 5. Other than that, using a priority of SS > ES > LL. Shamanistic Rage just doesn't seem to be up as often as I'd like it to be. Not using FS anymore at all. WF/FT on weapons.

I am spec'd into Static Shock, but that's obviously not going to be very practical in 5s and 10s. Will be going back to Water Shield tonight.

I also need to be better about using appropriate fire totems. Been dropping searing as usual and magma on groups. I need to be better about using FN. Any additional info on how/when you've been dropping your fire totems now?

Buddy, that spec is rock-solid. The only change would be to trade off something for Static Shock, which is about another 3% DPS.

some random thoughts...

If you're going OOM I would first recommend drinking between every pull. Get off a few sips to replenish while the tank gets some initial threat.

Next, are you dropping Fire Nova and Magma totems on every trash pull? Those babies are incredibly mana intensive. That's enough to drain your mana.

And then if you're not dropping those on trash you'll be left in the dust by the AoE'ers (hunters, warriors, and some mages) in terms of damage.

I don't drop them on boss fights because I'll def go OOM if trying to keep up that rotation. For boss fights keep down FT totem if you are the only shaman.

Lastly put more into Convection and Ancestral Spirit if you're really struggling with mana. But that would be my last resort. I rarely have mana issues on bosses, only on trash from dropping those aoe totems.

Hey man one other thing I noticed... you didn't find any +Hit rings in your leveling? You only need the hit for raids, you don't need it for 5s. But did you get Ring of Foul Mojo from reg GD? Or Ring of Indignant Rage from a quest? Also look for the trinket that has 83 hit and some spellpower. But man replace those T4 level rings!
