Windfury Crits

Enhancement Shaman PVE and PVP. As a Tier 7 Enhancement Shaman, avid PvPer and guild leader I find there are not enough active Enhance blogs. Thus, *Windfury Crits* the Enhancement Shaman blog covering PvE, PvP, and pretty much everything else I can think of relating to the wonderful world of enhance.

Can I fark with my gear any more?

I feel like all I ever do is mess around with my gear and talk about the damned hit-cap. Gawd it was so much easier when there was no hard hit cap for Enhance and all we had to do was dip down into the Resto tree for Nature's Guidance. Do you remember Nature's Guidance? It's not even listed on Wowhead now.

Anyway, I won the Valorous gloves on Sath+1 on Monday and had to dip into my stockpile of gear to figure out how to hit cap. What I came up with was not only hit cap, but an additional 4 points of Expertise. I was able to get to EXACTLY 341 hit and 124 Expertise Rating which is only 1 wasted point of Expertise Rating (remember Expertise is only good in chunks and can actually be wasted).

So 341 hit and 124 Expertise Rating gives me a kinda of private nerdgasam. oh-oh-oh-oH-OH-OH-OHYEEEEAAAAAHHHH

And now in true man/nerd post-coital fashion, I am tired. good night all.

In one of your previous posts I read about a hitcap of 367. I am trying to maintain that eversince. Why do you aim for 341 instead?
(perhaps I missed the post where you have mentioned this)

Realt, it's 341 for Alliance and 367 for Horde. Alliance gains the benefit of the Draenei racial, Heroic Presence which adds an additional 1% hit.

So if you're Orc/Tauren/Troll then 367 it is!

Stoney is a Draenei so I only need to hit 341.

Rich, grats on the gloves, I was actually able to land those myself recently. Currently I am trying to optimize my gear for heroics (max lvl 82 boss), so the spell hit cap for that is around 158 for horde. That is easy to "hit" of course, but I have a feeling that even after getting to 158 hit, hit will still be more valuable than expertise. I am almost always behind mobs/bosses when attacking so that somewhat reduces the benefit of expertise I think. I know I need to run enhsim to see what is best for me. I guess my main question is, what numbers would I put in the "boss" tab of enhsim to simulate a lvl 82 boss? I assume I would change the spell miss from 17% to 6%, but I'm not sure about the other values. Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Grats on the gloves!

I thought 214 was the magic number for expertise? In any case you have me beat because I have 215 ;)

For the enhsim Boss tab for a level 82 boss I changed the miss to 6% and spell miss to 6%. I am pretty sure those are correct values so I just need to figure out the dodge, glancing and armor values. Thanks for checking up on that for me.
